Mike Ernst

Mike Ernst rejoined the CBRE Debt and Structured Finance Group in 2015. He is partnering with Greg Greene and Scott Lewis on their commercial property finance team and is focused on raising capital for institutional clients. Mike has 30 years of experience in the real estate business. Prior to CBRE, Mike was Market Managing Director of the Central Region for Equity Office Properties, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Blackstone Group. He was responsible for a 19 million square foot portfolio of office properties located in 12 markets in the southwest, midwest and southeastern United States. Mike previously worked with Greg Greene and Scott Lewis at CBRE in 2011-12 and had a significant business focused on equity, construction and acquisition loans for office, industrial, retail and multifamily properties. Prior to CBRE, Mike spent 14 years as the Chief Financial Officer/Director of Capital Markets for three public real estate companies in the office, industrial and multifamily businesses and closed many billions of dollars of mortgages, construction loans, joint ventures and corporate debt and equity. Mike started his career as a real estate banker, serving 11 years with a predecessor of Bank of America. ​​​
