Bio
As President of Capital One's Commercial Banking business, Mr. Slocum is responsible for leading multiple broad lines of business, including Commercial Real Estate, Corporate Banking, Capital Markets, and Treasury Services. Mr. Slocum is a member of Capital One's Executive Committee and reports to Rich Fairbank, Capital One's Chairman and CEO. He also serves as the company's Northeast Regional President.
Comprised of more than 2,900 associates, Capital One's Commercial Banking Group generates over $3 billion in annual revenue, with over $64 billion in loans outstanding and $33 billion in deposit balances as of December 31, 2017. Mr. Slocum joined Capital One in 2007 after having spent almost two decades at Wachovia (now Wells Fargo) and predecessor banks. His experience spans both Commercial and Retail Banking.
Mr. Slocum is an active member of the New York Community and is currently Vice Chairman of the Board of Safe Horizon, the largest victims' services agency in the United States. He also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for The Jewish Museum in New York City, and is on the Board of Directors for the Roundabout Theatre Company.
Mr. Slocum resides in New York City and is a graduate of Colgate University with a degree in Economics.
