Bio
Michael McMillan specializes in occupancy strategy and solutions for multi-market portfolios, representing clients ranging from startups to multi-national companies. He has completed transactions totaling over 8.1 million square feet for a combined consideration in excess of $2 billion and has been involved in some of the largest and most complex real estate transactions in the Bay Area. Significant transactions include the purchase of Broadcom's 573,000-square-foot Silicon Valley campus with 500,000 square feet of entitlements in 2015 and the 290,000-square-foot sale-leaseback of Tibco Software's Stanford Research Park headquarters in 2015 which was named the San Francisco Business Times' Deal of the Year.
Michael's legal background and experience with diverse technology companies, in combination with his ability to simplify complex transactions, empowers his clients with confidence in making the right decisions in all aspects of each real estate transaction. Prior to joining CBRE, Michael served as Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield and was in C&W's Top 50 Office Producers for 2015, focusing on tenant leasing for prominent companies including Broadcom, Ericsson and SolarCity.
In his free time, Michael serves as a mentor for the Santa Clara School of Law Entrepreneurs' Law Clinic, is a regular guest lecturer at UC Berkeley's HAAS School of Business and Santa Clara School of Law, and coaches little league baseball, Next Level Football, Junior Warriors and Next Level Basketball.
