Bio

Michael P. McCarthy is the Vice President/Director of Acquisitions for Quadrangle Development Corporation. Mr. McCarthy is responsible for sourcing new investment opportunities, property evaluation, market analysis, due diligence, asset planning, financial analysis, budgeting and capitalization on behalf of the National Capital Properties funds sponsored and managed by Quadrangle Development Corporation. Michael has over twenty-five years of experience in the Washington DC real estate industry. Prior to joining Quadrangle in 2007, Michael served as Senior Vice President with Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers (currently Cassidy Turley Commercial Real Estate Services) handling leasing assignments. During this time Michael represented MCI/Worldcom in the restructuring of its U.S. real estate portfolio while operating under Chapter 11. On behalf of the creditors of MCI/Worldcom, Mr. McCarthy completing over 100 separate transactions over an 18-month period. Prior to joining Cassidy & Pinkard Colliers, Michael was a Principal with the Carey Winston Company, currently Transwestern Commercial Real Estate Services, representing institutional owners such as Prudential Life Insurance, Equitable Life Insurance, CBRE Investors, Bank of America, RREEF, KBS Realty Advisors, LaSalle Investment Management and Sun Life Financial. Michael presently serves on the board of the Downtown Business Improvement District, is a member of the Greater Washington Commercial Association of Realtors and is a Chartered Financial Analyst Candidate. Mr. McCarthy holds a Masters of International Business Administration from Georgetown University, earning the distinction of valedictorian, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland.
