Bio
Joining Grosvenor in Canada in 2000, Michael is responsible for the acquisition and financial performance of the property assets in the North American portfolio. He previously worked for a private developer and Colliers International; both in Calgary, Alberta. Before becoming Chief Investment Officer in 2011, he was Chief Portfolio Officer until the two roles were combined. Michael is a board member of Wheatsheaf Group Canada Limited. He previously served on the Board for the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE), and the Advisory Board of the Urban Land Institute of British Columbia (ULI). He is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC) the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) and the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP). Michael was educated at the University of Calgary (BA, Political Science 1988-92) and completed the Wharton Essentials of Management Programme (2006) and IMD Grosvenor Halkin Programme (2011).
