Bio

Mr. Anderson is a Senior Vice President at George Smith Partners. Since joining George Smith Partners in 2013, he has been involved with the closing of $3.5 billion in financings. Prior to George Smith Partners, Mr. Anderson's career success began early on, when he was named "Rookie of the Year" for Grubb & Ellis in 2010, and named to CPE's "Stars to Watch" in 2017.

 

Mr. Anderson has significant experience in structuring a number of potential capital structures including but not limited to; senior debt from construction to bridge to permanent, mezzanine, preferred equity, and joint venture equity structures. With an eye to the client's needs, an open mind to understanding the intricacies of each transaction, Mr. Anderson and his team take a hands-on approach to their clients' current and future needs, and draws upon his in-depth market knowledge to maximize their success.

 

Michael graduated from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, earning a Bachelor of Sciences Degree with dual concentrations in Corporate Finance and Commercial Real Estate Finance. Simultaneously, he competed full time on the U.S. National Sailing Team (Alternate to the 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games). Mike is also devoted to giving back. Alongside his wife, he volunteers his time and efforts on behalf of the Wendy Walk Foundation, a charitable organization that has raised over $4.5 million to fund international research in an effort to find a cure for sarcoma cancers.
