She was responsible for the acquisition/disposition of all the Real Estate Owned properties. The hiring oversight and daily management of the Loan & Real Estate Servicers, Foreclosure Attorneys, Real Estate Brokers, General Contractors, all Vendors and Staff of 5 direct reporting Employees. Mercedes was also responsible for the implementation of the Operating Procedures, Financial Reporting, Loss Mitigation Process and Property Management. Mercedes was responsible for sale prices and determining property values for the portfolios.Prior to her experience as a Portfolio Manager in the Real Estate Owned (REO) Properties and Loan arena. Mercedes established and is the Founder and Operator of Mardes Builders DBA Tuflon Construction – a Florida and NJ licensed General Contractor, Home Improvement Company, and 203k consultant. Mercedes began her professional career working for Wall Street bulge bracket firms such as Merrill Lynch, Prudential Securities, UBS- Paine Webber and Pershing.
