Bio

Melissa Morris is a Managing Director, Project Management with Newmark's Multifamily Capital Markets Group in the firms Lower Gwynedd, Pennsylvania office. A 23-year corporate real estate operations veteran, Melissa has substantial experience in Commercial Loan Servicing Operations and implementation and maintenance of technology solutions. In her current role, she is responsible for managing Servicing technology initiatives, providing support for our core Servicing system and data warehouse reporting, and has been working with a team of executive stakeholders to establish Newmark's offshore platform in India. The platform currently supports multiple business lines across the enterprise, including Valuation & Advisory, Brokerage, Global Corporate Services, Corporate Accounting, and Multifamily Capital Markets Debt and Underwriting teams.

 

Melissa came to Newmark after serving as Senior Vice President of Operations at Berkadia Commercial Mortgage. Throughout her tenure, she was responsible for Servicing Technology initiatives, Cash Management, Banking Relationships, Financial Statement Analysis, Property Inspections, Property Tax and Insurance, Replacement Reserve management, Escrow Analysis, and Watchlist reporting. Melissa served on committees that oversaw data stewardship, monitored corporate exposure, corporate information security policy, and disaster recovery. Melissa is a Certified Scrum Product Owner and Certified Project Management Professional, Project Management Institute.

 

Education

Melissa holds a B.A. in Finance and M.B.A. in Management Information Systems from Temple University.
