As the Director of Marketing for KLNB, Mayela is responsible for development of marketing strategies and implementation of programs and initiatives. She manages the company’s design and marketing team as well as directs programs to effectively position the company’s services and relationships with clients. Mayela’s role includes strategic and forward thinking initiatives coupled with day-to-day execution. She ensures the firm’s distinct brand attributes are supported in new business pursuits and reinforced in the marketplace through multiple channels including print collateral, advertising, public relations and digital media.

Mayela joined KLNB in 2006 as a Graphic Designer. During her time with KLNB she has been a part of two corporate rebranding initiatives as well as the development and roll out of the firm’s custom iPad app. Mayela is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and attends multiple annual conventions to represent KLNB and keep up with the trends in the commercial real estate industry worldwide.

Mayela earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with concentration in Graphic Design from James Madison University.  She was born in Santa Fe, NM and currently resides in Virginia with her husband and two daughters.
