Matthew Wassel, as Director of Leasing, focuses on marketing, strategic tenant targeting, and lease execution within the firm's portfolio.
Prior to joining Saxum, Matthew was a key member on a market leading leasing team at CBRE. While at CBRE, Matthew oversaw the marketing and leasing of over four million square feet of Class A office and mixed-use product valued at over $1B, representing institutional and locally-owned real estate funds. Matthew represented prominent occupiers in the New Jersey market, including complex transactions which garnered regional attention, and was a finalist for New Jersey NAIOP's 2017 mixed-use deal of the year. Matthew has served as an adviser and representative for large corporate occupiers, including national strategic portfolio management and lease execution for Fortune 100 companies.
In his career, Matthew has transacted over $400M in leases ranging across various asset classes, including office, retail, industrial, and mixed-use.
Matthew is a graduate of Middlebury College with a B.S. in Psychology, minoring in Spanish.
