Bio
With more than a decade of experience in commercial real estate lending, Matthew Wallach, Managing Director, is responsible for nationwide loan origination, based out of Walker & Dunlop’s office in Dallas, Texas. Partnered with Stephen West in Walker & Dunlop’s Seattle office, Mr. Wallach specializes in the origination of multifamily loans through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, and bridge loan executions. In addition, he also has considerable experience originating CMBS loans for all property types.
Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Wallach held the position of vice president at CWCapital LLC, working out of their Dallas, Texas and Irvine, California locations. Previously, Mr. Wallach served as an associate at CapitalSource in New York, where he worked on a deal team that originated short-term balance sheet commercial real estate loans. Mr. Wallach also served as an underwriter at Nomura in Los Angeles, California, assisting in the origination of $2 billion of CMBS and commercial real estate collateralized debt obligation.
Mr. Wallach, a native of Dallas, earned a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University. He currently serves on the board of directors for Alliance Française de Dallas. He also serves as Chairman and board of directors for Dallas Services, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides schooling for children below the age of five, with an emphasis on visually-impaired children.
