Matthew DeBartolomeis is a First Vice President with CBRE Advisory & Transaction Services in Denver, Colorado, specializing in the retail sector. Beginning his career as a third-generation retailer before spending the past 20 years in a commercial real estate advisory role, Matthew is uniquely positioned to help retailers navigate the part real estate plays in a brand’s overall business strategy. He dives deep into each client’s business, creating a real estate playbook that details how to grow from innovative idea to successful execution. 

Combining his industry knowledge with market-leading research, Matthew helps his clients understand evolving retail patterns and how to define their place in an ever-changing omni-channel market. Serving as a go-to advisor for retail tenants, Matthew also has extensive experience representing landlords and developers of retail properties—both in leasing and disposition services. 

Based in Denver, Matthew supports many of the Front Range’s top retail brands, but his work with franchise clients is growing rapidly, which also spans the U.S. 

Before joining CBRE, Matthew was responsible for project leasing and sales at Pacifica Commercial Brokerage Group, a company with a portfolio valued at more than $500 million. Prior to that, he developed the Pacific Motion Stores, a specialty-clothing retail company that he founded in Denver and grew into a independently owned multi-store operation before selling the company in 1997.
