Bio
Matthew is the Chief Financial Officer for Loews Hotels & Co. In his role he has oversight of the finance and accounting functions, strategic planning, tax, internal audit and risk management. Additionally, he has oversight of the company’s shared service center. Headquartered in New York City, Loews Hotels owns hotels and resorts in the U.S. and Canada. Located in major city centers and resort destinations from coast to coast, the Loews portfolio features one-of-a-kind properties that go beyond Four Diamond standards to delight guests.
Prior to joining Loews Hotels, Matthew was a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's investment management and real estate practice performing audits of public and private REITs, investment advisors, real estate investment funds, alternative investment funds, fund of funds and other investment companies. Matthew completed a two year tour in PwC's National Office in both the Accounting Services Group and the SEC Services Group. While on tour, he specialized in accounting for business combination transactions and reviewing SEC registrant's filings for clients in the real estate industry, including public REITs. He had experience with security registration for IPOs for real estate investment trusts, including "blind-pool" structures, on-going accounting and financial reporting for public registrants as well as internal control implementation and evaluation experience.
