Bio
Matthew Baptiste, Managing Director, brings close to two decades of commercial real estate experience to Berkadia. Mr. Baptiste focuses on loan originations through Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD and Private Debt funds. Mr. Baptiste has extensive affordable housing experience, structuring complex finance executions, including tax-exempt bonds and federal and state tax credits.Before joining Berkadia, Mr. Baptiste was a Senior Director with Walker & Dunlop's Multifamily Finance Platform. He has structured and originated over $1 billion of new mortgage debt during his tenure. Mr. Baptiste joined Walker & Dunlop in 2012 through the acquisition of CWCapital LLC. Prior to CWCapital, he began his career in the commercial real estate industry at Berkely Point, formerly known as Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage.Mr. Baptiste attended West Virginia Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a minor in marketing.
