Bio
Matt Mense
is an executive managing director with Newmark's Multifamily Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group in the Bethesda office. An 18-year commercial real estate finance veteran, Mr. Mense is primarily responsible for sourcing debt and equity transactions for multifamily assets. In his role, Mr. Mense is responsible for the origination and structuring of multifamily loans through the company's Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA programs, as well as other capital sources, including banks, life companies, debt funds and CMBS lenders.
Mr. Mense has completed of more than $8.5 billion in transaction volume since 2014, when he joined Newmark's production team. Previously, Mr. Mense was a deputy chief underwriter and held a variety of roles within the firm's underwriting, origination and trading departments. He joined Newmark's predecessor in 2003.
Education
Mr. Mense received a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from the College of William and Mary.
