Bio

Mark Shellabarger leads the Investment Properties – Retail & Office team for the Tampa office. The Tampa team focuses on retail and office investment sales in the greater Tampa Bay and West Coast of Florida markets, of assets valued between $2 million and $20 million. The team also handles assignments in other markets based on client needs.

Mark has over 30 years of experience in commercial real estate and law in the Tampa Bay area and West Coast of Florida. Mark joined CBRE in 1993 and has sold over $1.5 billion of retail, office, and industrial properties. Prior to CBRE, Mark was an associate for 5 years with the commercial mortgage banking company Shoptaw-James, Inc. (later acquired CBRE, Inc.). After graduating from law school, Mark was an associate attorney with the law firm of Anderson & Rush in Orlando concentrating in real estate transactions.

Mark's role within the team includes asset positioning, financial underwriting, marketing material development, investor contacts, contract negotiations, and due diligence. On numerous occasions, he has been recognized as a “Top 5” salesperson in the Tampa office and a “Top 25” salesperson in the state of Florida.
