Bio

Mark Schultz serves as Chief Financial Officer and a member of the Investment Committee for Shopoff Realty Investments. Mr. Schultz brings more than 35 years of experience in commercial real estate finance to his role at Shopoff, closing over $4 billion in debt and equity. As a key member of the Executive Management team, he is accountable for the administrative, financial, and risk management operations of the company, including the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Previously, Mr. Schultz was CFO of the Picerne Group, Hopkins Real Estate Group in Orange County, as well as The Broe Group in Denver. He also acted as COO/CFO for Sower Capital in Omaha, NE. Throughout his career he has been involved in the discounted note business, real estate syndication and development, as well as leadership roles of accounting, finance, IT and M&A teams. Schultz’s vast experience covers national platforms in multifamily, senior housing, affordable housing, office, retail, and master planned land developments (including construction, management, and operations). Mr. Schutz graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, DePaul University with an MBA in Finance and is also a CPA.
