Bio

Mark oversees all of Lowe’s Eastern Region commercial activities, including acquisitions, development and management. With “hands-on” involvement, Mark has completed many large and complex projects as significant place-making developments along with several adaptive reuse developments including the NSF Headquarters, multiple office-to-residential conversions, the renovation and expansion of the historic Washington Hilton Hotel, the development of the $245 million CityVista mixed-use project and the redevelopment of the historic Randall School property in Washington, DC. Mark also leads Concord Communities, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lowe, and its efforts to be part of the solution to our nation’s affordable housing shortage. Previously, Mr. Rivers was Chief Operating Officer of a national development management firm where he was responsible for all aspects of the operating business and served as program and account manager for major clients. Projects completed include multiple large-scale life science and pharma buildings, mission critical facilities, and corporate campuses. Education: University of Virginia, BA
