Mark Long

Mark Long serves as president and chief executive officer with Newmark Zimmer, where he is responsible for the leadership of one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the Midwest. He was recognized by Kansas City Business Journal as one of the top CEOs to watch in the U.S. He maintains his brokerage practice as one of the region's most active real estate professionals. Mark has been involved in more than 1,100 transactions representing more than 15 million square feet of industrial, medical, office and retail space. He joined Newmark Zimmer upon graduating with honors from Rockhurst University in 1995.

• Represented Overstock.com in the leasing of a 513,000 SF industrial building

• Represented Niagara Water in site selection for 430,000 SF bottling plant

• Represented Botts Road Investors in industrial property investment sale of fully leased 500,000 SF building in south Kansas City, Missouri

• Represented FedEx in the lease of 238,000 SF, 335-doors, 126 acres in Edwardsville, KS

• Represented Winco Fireworks in 125,000 SF distribution center

• Represented Landlord in a 62,000 SF Class A office lease to PGI

• Represent Bank of Labor in regional real estate activities, including acquisition of bank and subsidiary properties

• Represented JE Dunn Construction (8th largest general contractor in the U.S.) for 15 years and over 100 transactions throughout U.S.

• Handled sale of property valued at over $20 million, acquired by University of Kansas Hospital for cancer center

• Represented Lee's Summit R-VII School District in various site acquisitions

• Represent Truman Medical Center in multiple commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions throughout metropolitan Kansas City area
