Bio
Ms. Oliva joined Pathway to Living in 2005 and serves as chief operating officer. In this role, Ms. Oliva is responsible for the strategic direction of the management platform, fiscal management, leadership and culture development. She is the architect and champion of Pathway's VIVA! operating philosophy that takes a new approach to resident wellness and person-centered care. Waterton became a partial owner of Pathway to Living in 2015 and acquired a controlling interest in 2019. Ms. Oliva participates on Waterton's Management Committee. Following the firm's increased ownership in Pathway to Living effective 2019, Ms. Oliva and the senior housing operations team are working closely with the firm's multifamily operation teams to share ideas and develop best practices across the operating platforms. Prior to joining Pathway to Living, Ms. Oliva spent over 11 years at Senior Lifestyle Corporation in the role of senior vice president of human resources. There she was responsible for implementing policies, programs and company-wide strategies to support the company's growth from three properties to a nationwide owner and operator, with sixty communities in fifteen states and over 5,000 employees. Ms. Oliva holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management from National Lewis University. She sits on the Operations Executive Roundtable for Argentum, and is a past board member of Leading Age Illinois.
