Bio
Marc A. Boorstein CCIM, a principal of MJ Partners, has orchestrated over $2 billion in commercial real estate transactions, including self-storage, industrial, office, retail, and special purpose. His over 25 years of experience in privately negotiated real estate sales, financing, and competitive bid sales has served financial institutions, institutional investment firms, REITs, Fortune 500s, governmental agencies and major developers. Previously, Mr. Boorstein served as a management consultant for Price Waterhouse. He graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, and the London School of Economics and Political Science. He served as president of the Realty Club of Chicago, on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Chapter of the Certified Commercial Investment Members (CCIM), and is a member of the Association of Industrial Real Estate (AIRE). Mr. Boorstein has been a featured speaker at the National Association of Corporate Real Estate Executives Annual Symposium (NACORE) for the marketing of corporate real estate. He has been both published and appeared in numerous articles of national publications. These include the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times, Commercial Investment Real Estate Journal, Commercial Lender, Commercial Mortgage Insight, Inside Self-Storage and Mini-Storage Messenger. One of the foremost experts in the self-storage industry, Mr. Boorstein is responsible for orchestrating the disposition and acquisition of self-storage facilities for operators, investors, and lenders nationwide. He is a keynote speaker at National Association of Self-Storage conventions, and has a long-standing affiliation with the Chicago and National Association of Realtors.
