Bio
Mr. Bergeron is President of OGAM. He is also an officer and director of the Canadian affiliate, OGAM Ltd. His primary responsibilities are to oversee the implementation firm strategy as well as heading the compliance effort of the company. Mr. Bergeron was a founder of the firm’s predecessor company Newshore Capital Group after leaving Deutsche Bank in 2001. At Deutsche Bank, Mr. Bergeron focused on equity derivatives and other structured products, as well as creating an immigration program financing business. Prior to Deutsche Bank, Mr. Bergeron was a derivatives marketer and structurer at Bankers Trust, which merged with Deutsche. Earlier, he was a trader with Nomura Securities where he traded long bonds and provincial governments. Mr. Bergeron started his career at Casgrain & Company where he was responsible for provincial bond trading and sales, and covered a broad range of money managers, corporate treasuries, banks and government agencies across Canada. He earned his BComm from McGill University and is a CFA Charterholder since 1990 and is registered with the Ontario Securities Commission as an advising representative (portfolio manager) of OGAM Ltd.
