Bio

Louis took over the day-to-day operations of Lauricella Land Company in 1986. Since then, his accomplishments have included the development and re-development of over 2.5 million square feet of commercial (primarily retail) space. He has secured over $350 million in financing for Lauricella Land Company projects and has structured partnerships and joint ventures with some of the top companies in New Orleans. Over the past 15 years, Lauricella Land Company has been directly involved in over $200 million of construction. Louis' portfolio of accomplishments includes development of the Elmwood Center, Astor Crowne Plaza Hotel, Elmwood North Shopping Center, Elmwood Office Park, Palace Theaters, Elmwood Hampton Inn & Suites, Midtown Square Shopping Center, Elmwood Self Storage and Wine Cellar, and the Manhattan West Shopping Center. In addition to his responsibilities with Lauricella Land Company and Lauricella & Associates, Inc., its affiliate real estate brokerage arm, Louis is the Vice-Chairman of the New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD) Foundation, the private fundraising arm of the NORD Commission. He also serves on the Jefferson Business Council and the Jefferson Community Foundation and heads up the Lauricella Land Company Foundation, which focuses its charitable giving in the New Orleans area. He sits on the Board of Directors of First NBC Bank Holding Company and is active in many professional organizations. Louis holds an undergraduate degree from Harvard as well as Juris Doctor and Master of Business Administration degrees from Tulane. He resides in New Orleans with his wife and his daughter, a student at Columbia University.
