Bio

Louis J. Esposito was named Chief Operating Officer of The Durst Organization in 2006. He began his career with the company in 1990 as a Project Manager overseeing major capital improvements, renovations and upgrades of building systems throughout the Durst portfolio. In 2000, he was named Vice President and oversaw the design and construction of the first environmentally responsible commercial building in New York, located at 4 Times Square, as well as The Helena, a 600-unit LEED Gold certified residential apartment building. It was under Louis’ leadership that The Durst Organization built its flagship 2.1 million square foot Bank of America Tower, the first office tower to be recognized with the prestigious LEED Platinum certification. Louis continues to manage The Durst Organization’s 13 million square foot commercial property portfolio as well as the day to day operations of the company during a period of extraordinary growth. Louis earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Manhattan College in 1986. He is an active member of the ReBNY and the Realty Advisory Board, serving on its Board of Directors. He regularly gives back to the New York City community through his work with numerable philanthropic organizations, including the Diabetes Research Institute, St. Francis Food Pantries & Shelters and many others.
