Leo M Krusius

Leo Krusius is a Managing Director on our U.S. Real Estate team based in Washington, DC.

Mr. Krusius focuses on sourcing new investments in the logistics sector and across other high growth strategies. He also has deep experience in the hotel and multifamily sectors. Since joining Carlyle in 2007, Mr. Krusius has led or executed investments totaling over $6 billion of capitalization and $2 billion of equity. Additionally, Mr. Krusius led the team that managed a portfolio of data center properties, which he helped take public as a REIT under the name CoreSite Realty Corp. The company was later fully monetized through a series of block trades and ultimately sold in 2021.

Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Krusius worked in real estate investment banking at Stifel Nicolaus.

Mr. Krusius graduated with a BS from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration.
