Bio
Mr. Draeger joined CBRE in 2008 and is a Senior Managing Director within CBRE Multifamily. He is the head of CBRE Multifamily Capital ("CBRE MFC"), CBRE's Fannie Mae DUS lending operation. Since its inception in 2008, CBRE MFC has built its loan portfolio to over $12 billion and has consistently been a top Fannie Mae Lender. In his role, Mr. Draeger has responsibility for loan production, credit underwriting, investor relations, and asset management functions.
Mr. Draeger also has oversight of the CBRE FHA Lending platform, which has built its loan portfolio to approximately $1 billion since 2008. He works in tandem with the President of the group to provide strategic direction and general management of the operations. He also sits on the group's loan committee.
Prior to joining CBRE, Mr. Draeger spent 12 years with Deutsche Bank Berkshire Mortgage, where he structured or underwrote over $2.5B of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, or securitized loans. He ran the Deutsche Bank CRE Bridge Program from 2005 to 2007, overseeing the structuring, underwriting, and closing for over $500M of loans to be held on balance sheet or securitized. Mr. Draeger has a Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Washington University in St. Louis an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth.
