Bio

Kim Yates is a Director in CBRE’s Global Corporate Services (GCS) group, focused on the healthcare sector.  Based in CBRE’s GCS Headquarters in Dallas, Texas, Yates works with large healthcare systems to develop outsourcing solutions by integrating real estate service requirements with business, financial and operational objectives.  These strategies result in reduced expenses without compromising service quality for clients and patient satisfaction.

Prior to joining the healthcare team Yates helped create CBRE’s FDIC account which was responsible for the oversight, asset management and disposition of owned real estate from failed institutions.  More than 3,000 assets were sold with sales exceeding $800 million. Yates helped with the initial set up of the account, growing it from a few to 60+ people.  She was part of the leadership team with areas of responsibility that included finance, IT and HR.  Previously, Yates was involved with researching and analyzing the real estate components of many bankruptcy filings. Her experience includes reviewing court documents to assess which assets are available for disposition, researching and analyzing the creditor stack of various estates to help develop the appropriate strategy, preparing pitch packages for potential clients, and creating and maintaining a database of recent bankruptcy filings with their current status relating specifically to the real estate owned by the debtor.  Prior to joining CBRE, Yates worked at FTI Consulting as a Senior Consultant. While at FTI Consulting, she assisted in the restructuring and bankruptcy filings for multiple clients across various industries throughout the United States.
