Kevin Whelan

Mr. Whelan is based in Boston and oversees Beacon Capital Partners' property and fund accounting, finance functions including valuations and performance reporting, and certain firm administrative functions. Prior to joining Beacon in 2007, Mr. Whelan served as Chief Financial Officer of Absolute Return Capital, Bain Capital's Global Macro hedge fund. Previously, he served as Vice President and Corporate Controller of Bain Capital. He has also held positions of Controller at CCBN, Vice President at Wellington Management Company, Financial Control Supervisor at The Boston Consulting Group, and Senior Auditor at Arthur Andersen. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. Mr. Whelan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The University of Notre Dame.
