Kent Heckaman

Mr. Heckaman joined MGL in early 2020 as a principal Development Partner and oversees the procurement and execution of market rate multifamily and mixed-use developments for the company. Mr. Heckaman has over 25 years of experience as a real estate executive and responsible for the delivery of over 8,000 multifamily units, including luxury, affordable and senior housing; and has developed over 1 million square feet of commercial space. Market expertise throughout the U.S. with developments delivered in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Arizona, and Colorado. Prior to joining MGL Partners in Denver, Mr. Heckaman has held executive-level development positions with organizations based in Indiana, the D.C. metro area, Detroit, and Chicago. Product expertise includes multifamily garden, mid-rise, high-rise, retail, light industrial, and office. Mr. Heckaman also has experience creating short and long-term strategic development plans for companies, including the procurement of multifamily departments inside commercial focused companies. Mr. Heckaman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Urban Planning from Arizona State University, is a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Manager), and member of the Urban Land Institute, Multifamily Housing Council, and National Apartment Association.
