Bio

Kenji Sakai began his career in 1993. After three years of accounting experience, Kenji started his career in real estate. In 1999, Kenji joined CBRE in Tokyo, Japan. While working in Tokyo, Kenji was a senior consultant specializing in international corporations; mainly American companies, i.e. General Motors and Dell Computers. Kenji played an instrumental role in assisting his clients in establishing, consolidating and relocating their offices throughout Japan. By 2001, Mr. Sakai was recognized as one of the Top Five Brokers in Japan.

Currently, Kenji works in the South Bay office in El Segundo, California. As Senior Vice President, of the CBRE Japan Desk, the group is designed to offer strategic business solutions to Japanese companies throughout the United States. The Japan Desk primary role is to focus on providing excellent commercial real estate brokerage and consulting services to these corporations. This niche business unit was established in 1998 and is a value-add that is not available at any other competing brokerage firm.

Kenji works on various types of properties and transactions including Office, Industrial/R&D, Retail and Investment throughout North America.  Mr. Sakai handles over 50 transactions annually and is a member of Japanese Business Association in Southern California, Seattle, Dallas and Houston, Texas.

Prior to joining CBRE, Kenji was involved in various real estate development projects in Asia; i.e. industrial park development in Thailand, residential condominium in Vietnam and single-family housing project in Japan.
