Bio
Karen is a Managing Director in the Vienna office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas, specializing in Multi-housing debt and agency financing. She has over 22 years of agency underwriting experience with extensive knowledge of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Multi-housing products, including market rate assets, affordable housing, and senior housing, as well as other product types. She has been responsible for more than $6 billion of agency financing
Prior to joining JLL, Karen was a Managing Director of risk policy at Centerline Capital Group overseeing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac conventional loan transactions. During her tenure at Centerline, she was director of risk policy for affordable housing, regional chief underwriter and regional center manager. In addition to Centerline, Karen was the deputy chief underwriter at American Property Financing, Inc. and an underwriter at AMI Capital, Inc. (both of which have since been acquired by Wells Fargo). She was associated with Targeted Affordable Housing Chief Underwriter Forum and previously served as the Chair of the Fannie Mae Chief Underwriters Forum from December 2008 through July 2010.
