Bio
Josh Malka serves as a managing director with Newmark. Mr. Malka is responsible for the sourcing and analysis of deals, which includes advising investors, lenders and developers on the purchasing or selling of non-performing loans, REOs and investment sales. His vast knowledge in this market and his ability to source deals is truly an art as he is becoming a rising star in the industry. Mr. Malka brings to Newmark a diverse real estate background that encompasses portfolio management, acquisitions and financing.
Most recently, Mr. Malka was a managing director with Helios Capital Advisors. Prior to his work at Helios Capital, he was with the MAR Group where he led its commercial division and oversaw the acquisition of distressed commercial real estate debt. Previously, Mr. Malka worked at ING Real Estate Finance USA and held asset management and acquisition positions at Arbor Realty Trust and MSM Realty.
Mr. Malks holds a Juris Doctor from Touro Law School, a Master of Business Administration from Long Island University Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Yeshiva University.
