Bio
As co-founder of Accordia Realty Ventures, Joe plays a key role in the business development and growth of the company. Joe puts his many strengths to work by overseeing Accordia’s marketing efforts, from managing the leasing teams to dealing with Accordia’s public relations. In addition, he brings creative life to the redevelopment and development projects the company pursues as well as playing a major role in the acquisition and joint venture relationships that have been a cornerstone of the company.
Joe has over 40 years experience in the real estate industry and has been with Accordia Realty Ventures since its inception in 2005. Prior to joining Accordia, Joe was head of AdvanceRealty Group’s ARG Development Corporation. There he was responsible for the design and development of ARG’s major Urban redevelopment projects in Harrison and Boundbrook and the Sarnoff Research Campus in Princeton, as well as the acquisition and redevelopment of Exxon’s international headquarters in Florham Park.
Joe brings to Accordia a vast background in every facet of commercial real estate including: site acquisition, development, marketing, leasing, planning, construction and value enhancement. He has been involved in every aspect of the business including the brokerage, development and corporate sides of the deal process. His in-depth understanding of client’s needs and goals, trends and inventory in the market, and contacts within the corporate real estate community have enabled him to conclude over ten million square feet of transactions with firms such as: AT&T, Federal Express, Caldor, First Union National Bank, The State of New Jersey, Bristol Meyers-Squibb, CPC, General Motors, Prudential Insurance, Allstate Insurance, Chase Manhattan Bank, Equitable Life Insurance, & Altana Pharma.
Joe Romano was Vice President of Corporate Real Estate for Wachovia Bank, where he was responsible for the acquisition and disposition of major facilities for the Bank’s use from Philadelphia to Boston. Prior to that, Joe was Regional Partner for the Seltzer Organization, a national commercial real estate development firm, where he had full responsibility for the development and operation of the company’s projects in New Jersey and New York, including the 650 acre Princeton Park Corporate Center. Joe has also held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing with Summit Associates, Inc., where his responsibilities included the leasing and marketing of Raritan Center, one of the largest office/industrial developments in the East.

Joe is a graduate of Seton Hall University, South Orange with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education.
He is a member of the Commercial Real Estate Network (CORENET), the Urban Land Institute, the Newark Real Estate Board, a former officer of the National Association of Office and Industrial Parks (NAIOP) and a former member of the Board of Directors of the New Jersey MS Society.
