Bio

Joseph Macnow is Chief Financial Officer Emeritus and Senior Advisor of Vornado Realty Trust. Mr. Macnow is a 40-year veteran of the Company, serving as a senior financial officer of the Company (Chief Financial Officer, as Controller and Principal Accounting Officer, and/or Executive Vice President—Finance and Administration) from January 1981 to May 2013. Mr. Macnow served as the Company's Chief Administrative Officer from May 2013 to February 2017, when he resumed the additional role of Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining Vornado, Mr. Macnow was employed as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of City Stores Company. Prior to joining City Stores Company, Mr. Macnow was an Audit Manager with the international public accounting firm of Ernst & Young. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Financial Executives Institute. Mr. Macnow participates in Baruch College's Executives on Campus program and is a member of The Steven L. Newman Real Estate Institute's Advisory Board at Baruch and Baruch's 17 Lex Society. In 2012, Mr. Macnow was the recipient of the Distinguished Alumnus Award from Baruch College. He is the recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor in 2005. Also in 2005, the Bergen Museum of Art & Science named Mr. Macnow the Museum's Person of the Year. Mr. Macnow earned his BBA from the City College of New York, Baruch School of Public and Business Administration, majoring in Accounting. He continued his education at Baruch and at the University of Southern California, completing all course work required for receiving the Degree of Master of Business Administration.
