Joseph M. Forgione is the founder and Principal of JMF Properties Group. With over 30 years of development experience, he has been responsible for the construction of more than 3,000 residential units and over one million square feet of commercial and retail spaces. Forgione manages the day-to-day operations of JMF Properties Group; his active and integral role with every aspect of the development and planning process at the company attributes to its continued success. Forgione has acted as a governmental liaison to a variety of agencies at the municipal, state and federal levels. In 2000, he served as a committee member overseeing redevelopment of the Meadowlands Complex, and from 2001 to 2013 served as Commissioner for the New Jersey Sports and Expositions Authority (NJSEA). He currently serves on the Board of Advisors at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Constantly focused on community-building, Forgione constructed and donated five homes to the Arc/Morris County Chapter and is currently building a donated home for Cerebral Palsy of New Jersey (CPNJ). He has been a long-term fundraiser and donor to the Employment Horizons Corp, an organization that employs men and women who are autistic or physically and mentally challenged, and in 2005 received their Man of the Year award. He is a founding board member of the REED Academy School for Autistic Children. Forgione is licensed as a civil engineer. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE New Jersey Section) and the New Jersey Builders Association (NJBA).
