Since 1979, John has been actively engaged in the development and rehabilitation of commercial properties. His first projects were the development of two office buildings. These projects were from the ground up, so John was responsible for the site acquisition, overall planning, financing, construction and leasing of the projects. After the first two office buildings, John has concentrated mainly on remodeling neighborhood shopping centers. These projects generally involve the addition or expansion of a major tenant, lease-up vacancy, establishing new sign programs, landscaping and changes of the parking area. Prior to starting his own business, John was employed by Coldwell Banker in their San Francisco office. For ten years John specialized in the sale and leasing of commercial properties in the San Francisco Bay Area, particularly shopping centers. He was consistently one of the top producers in the region including number one in the office in 1977 which included him in the top 20 of the company that same year. John concluded his career with Coldwell Banker as a member of the leasing team of the Solano Mall, a regional shopping center in Fairfield, California. In this capacity, he participated in over 75 leases to local, regional and national tenants. John graduated from Northwestern University in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance.
