John McCrary is a Director in Berkadia’s Birmingham, AL office, specializing in investment sales across Alabama, East Tennessee, and south Mississippi. He joined Berkadia in January 2024, bringing with him valuable experience from his previous roles.

Prior to joining Berkadia, John spent over four years on Newmark’s Birmingham investment sales team, focusing on the disposition of multifamily assets in the southeast. During this time, he was involved in transactions totaling over $1.5 billion. Before that, John worked as a financial analyst at Colliers International in Birmingham for two years.

John holds a Bachelor’s degree in finance from Auburn University, which he earned in 2015. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Finance from Auburn in 2017.
