Bio
John Manning is a Principal in the San Francisco office of Avison Young where he leads the origination of debt and joint venture equity placements. Mr. Manning has closed over $12 billion of commercial real estate originations in his twenty year career. He has focused prodominately on urban high rise residential development, institutionally owned office assets and the hospitality sector.
Prior to joining Avison Young Manning built and lead the Capital Markets Finance practice of the San Francisco office of JLL and was JLL's top debt placement originator on the West Coast from 2011 - 2019.
Prior to joining JLL, Mr. Manning was a Partner in the San Francisco office of Highland Realty Capital, a leading regional real estate investment banking firm formed by former executives of Buchanan Street Partners.
Prior to founding Highland, Manning was a Vice President and partner at Buchanan Street Partners, a Newport Beach, California capital advisory and investment management firm. Manning was one of the firm's leading originators of third party debt and equity advisory services.
