John Lyons

Prior to founding Lyons Development, John worked as Development Manager at Madison Realty Capital, a premier Private Equity & Investment firm based in New York City.

John has spent more than a decade building commercial construction projects in almost every asset class. Before attending graduate school, John was Chief Estimator and Head of Operations at a boutique design-build firm focused on projects at Harvard University. John started his career with Shawmut Design & Construction, managing high profile projects throughout the United States.

John received a BS in Civil Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology & an MS in Real Estate Development from Columbia University. John is currently Adjunct Professor of Construction Management at Columbia’s Real Estate Development Program.
