John J. “Jeff” Gray, III - Founder and President John J. “Jeff” Gray has more than 20 years of multifamily real estate development, construction and investment experience, having developed as a principal more than 12,000 units with a value in excess of $1.5 billion. Mr. Gray is Founder and President of Grayco Partners, LLC in Houston, a national multifamily development firm specializing in the development of multifamily properties in major U.S. markets. At Grayco Partners, Mr. Gray has created a $560 million Investment Partnership with Camden Property Trust, one of the largest U.S. multifamily REIT’s, to develop high quality multifamily assets in diverse U.S. markets. Prior to founding Grayco Partners, Mr. Gray was a Partner and Executive Vice President of Development for the Finger Companies, a Houston-based national multifamily developer. At the Finger Companies, he oversaw the company’s development and construction activities between 1993 and 2005. During that time, he lead the company’s development efforts in multiple U.S. markets including, Houston, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, Denver, South Florida, Boston and Los Angeles. Mr. Gray, a native of Houston, Texas, is married with two daughters. He is a member of the NMHC Board of Directors and is active in the ULI Multifamily Silver Council. He serves as a board member and head of the long range planning for The Fay School, Houston, Texas.
