John is a director in the Charlotte office of JLL Capital Markets, Americas. He joined JLL as part of the HFF acquisition and has more than 10 years of experience in commercial real estate finance. He focuses primarily on debt and equity placement transactions for industrial, office, retail, multi-housing and self-storage properties throughout the United States, with a specific focus on the Carolinas and southeastern U.S. markets. Throughout his career, John has participated in more than $7 billion in capitalizations across a variety of transaction types, including permanent, construction, and bridge financings in addition to preferred equity and joint venture equity placement.

John started at HFF in February 2015. Before that, he was an associate at Fairview Real Estate Solutions, where he worked on CMBS focused underwriting and due diligence. Prior to that, John was at Oceancrest Advisory Services, where he assisted community and regional banks around the Southeast in improving their overall asset quality through the workout and disposition of NPA and OREO portfolios.
