John J. Gartland joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2018 as a Managing Director of the Industrial Brokerage Group. His primary focus is developing new business within the corporate tenant space and continuing the best-in-class service of existing clients. In addition to his focus on tenant representation, John has developed working relationships with numerous institutional clients throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Some of those relationships include: Clarion Partners, New York Life Real Estate Investors, Duke Realty, Prologis, Hillwood, Dermody Properties, Alliance HSP, Petrucci, Principal, Endurance, Global Logistic Properties and Liberty Property Trust.


John has over 12 years of commercial real estate experience and currently holds a license in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. He has significant prior experience in corporate real estate, financial analysis, contract negotiation and business development.


Throughout his career, John has been involved in several significant transactions within the region including the 420,000 SF renewal for One Step Up in Monroe Township, NJ; the 349,000 SF lease for in Swedesboro, NJ as well as the new 705,000 SF lease for in Salem County, NJ; the new 114,000 SF lease for Pinnacle Freight in Florence, NJ; the new 66,000 SF lease for Rite Aid in Delran, NJ; the new 240,000 SF lease for A&R Bulk-Pak in Charleston, SC; the new 184,000 SF lease for LKQ Corporation in West Deptford, NJ; the 491,000 SF renewal for Spencer's Gifts in Charlotte, NC, the 270,000 SF lease for Taylor Farms in Swedesboro, NJ, the 650,000 SF build-to-suit with Amazon in West Deptford, NJ, and the 250,000 SF renewal with UPS in Swedesboro.


Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, John was a Vice President of Industrial Services at Jones Lang LaSalle's Cherry Hill, New Jersey office, where he specialized in corporate tenant and institutional landlord representation in the Greater Philadelphia and New Jersey region.
