Bio
John Droppa is Senior Vice President of Construction for UIP, in which role he oversees all development and in-house general contracting construction activities for the company. John is responsible for design coordination, soliciting general contractor proposal, contract negotiations and overseeing all construction phases. John role for the construction group is to develop talent, implement quality control procedures and sound construction practice for success execution.
Prior to joining UIP, John was Vice President and Account Manager for two major international general contractors, Turner Construction and Skanska USA Building, overseeing residential high rise, condominiums, data centers, sports complexes, mix use, government building, top secret facilities and institutional building. John has both Washington DC Metropolitan area experience as well as National construction knowledge. John worked for Fisher Development early in his career overseeing Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic stores throughout USA.
John is a graduate of the Portland Bible College, part of Portland State University, with a BS in Psychology and Minor in Business Administration. He has been a member of Association of General Contractors, District of Columbia Building Industry Association, Associated Building and Contractors, Metro Chapter and USGBC.
