John B Cumming

John focuses on expanding Strategic Capital Partners’ industrial portfolio and assists with office and mixed-use portfolios. Prior to joining SCP, John served as Senior Vice President of Buckingham Companies, where he managed the firm’s commercial real estate portfolio and development operations. Prior to Buckingham, John worked with Opus Development for fourteen years as Vice President of Development. In 1998, he opened the Opus Indianapolis office and led development activities in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky yielding more than six million square feet of industrial space and 350,000 square feet of office space with more than $300 million in total investment value. John is a graduate of Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. He is a member of NAIOP, has served as President of the NAIOP Indiana Chapter and is a member of the NAIOP board of directors. He is a licensed Indiana Managing Broker
