John Couvillion

Vice President, Real Estate Development

Mr. Couvillion manages and executes the development of new assets and the redevelopment of existing assets through all phases of the project, with the goal of enhancing the value of the real estate portfolio.

Background

Mr. Couvillion joined Realty Income in 2019. A 30+ year veteran in the real estate development industry, Mr. Couvillion has held senior director positions with both publicly-traded and privately-held companies. Prior to joining Realty Income, he most recently served as Sr. Vice President/Director of Development for San Diego based Murphy Development Company specializing in industrial/warehouse development. Other past professional positions include So Cal Regional Director with Brandywine Realty Trust (formerly Prentiss Properties) and Director of Development with Badiee Development Company. Having developed millions of square feet of office, industrial, retail and multi-family product, Mr. Couvillion has extensive experience in all genres and disciplines of commercial real estate development and construction.

Mr. Couvillion graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration – Real Estate Finance and is an active member and past board member of the San Diego chapter of the NAIOP.
