Bio

Known for his perseverance and ability to simultaneously manage multiple project teams in providing portfolio management services to Fortune 500 clients throughout the United States, John Cooper is a transaction expert with CBRE's Global Workplace Solutions group based in Oakland, CA. In this capacity, he negotiates all manner of real estate transactions (including purchase and sale agreements, lease acquisitions, dispositions and terminations), advises clients in determining successful strategies for their real estate objectives, and executes on behalf of clients; delivering a rapid response and ensuring consistent, high quality execution. Mr. Cooper is identified for his ability to successfully conduct a very high volume of transactions while maintaining attention to detail & high client satisfaction. Over the course of his career, Mr. Cooper has personally conducted nearly 2,000 transactions encompassing over 12,000,000 square feet valued in excess of $100 million. In 2006, Mr. Cooper earned the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation reflecting a depth of knowledge of commercial real estate brokerage, marketing, leasing, valuation and investment analyses.

During the period from 2000-2005, Mr Cooper was an integral part of the Western Regional Real Estate Team managing real estate transactions for a 20-state region for AT&T where he assumed an active role in the completion of 260 transactions encompassing over 2,475,000 square feet, resulting in significant financial successes and substantial reductions in AT&T's occupancy costs and remaining lease obligations.

Prior to joining CBRE in 2000, Mr. Cooper held the position of Director of Leasing at Merle D. Hall Company (a local investment, development, and management company) in Walnut Creek, CA, where he was solely responsible for negotiating new and existing tenant leases for an office and retail portfolio consisting of 25 separate real estate projects.

Mr. Cooper has been recognized as a top producer for CBRE in the San Francisco Bay Area since 2004, including several "Top 10" performances in the downtown San Francisco and Walnut Creek offices.
