John W Cherry, Jr., MAI, CRE

John Cherry is a Managing Director of the Valuation & Advisory Services within the

SOUTHEAST REGION in the ATLANTA Office. Located in the CBRE Atlanta office since

2010, Mr. Cherry has over forty-five years of real estate appraisal and consulting

experience throughout the Southeast US, with primary experience in the state of GA. Mr.

Cherry is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and is a Counselor of Real

Estate (CRE) and is licensed as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in the states of

Georgia, Tennessee, Mississippi, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Alabama.

He also has provided expert witness testimony in the Circuit Courts – State of Georgia and

United States Bankruptcy Courts. Mr. Cherry is past president of Georgia Chapter of the

Appraisal Institute and past Chairman of the Georgia Chapter of The Counselors of Real

Estate.

As Managing Director in the Atlanta office, Mr. Cherry works with other management level

personnel and the valuation and advisory staff in SE Region to provide exceptional quality

appraisal work and client service. He also participates in new business development, client

relations and appraisal quality control production and appraisal review.
