John Q. Birmingham, III joined Cushman & Wakefield in 2001 and currently serves as Director in the Brokerage Services Group in the Wilmington, DE office. He has represented various industrial and flex users, law firms, consulting offices and companies in financial related industries.

Complementing his tenant representation experience, Mr. Birmingham has also served as sales and leasing agent for various projects throughout the Delmarva Peninsula and southeastern Pennsylvania including flex, warehouse and office buildings.

Prior to joining C&W, Mr. Birmingham owned and operated his private firm, Birmingham Real Estate, Inc. He has worked in the commercial real estate business since 1980. Prior to founding his own firm, he was a partner at Smith Mack Birmingham, Inc. and began his career at Coldwell Banker Commercial (now CB Richard Ellis).

Mr. Birmingham earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing from Babson College. Mr. Birmingham is very active in the community and is a participating member with numerous Civic Associations including Wilmington's Committee of 100 a group whose purpose is responsible economic development and CIRC which is New Castle County's Commercial and Industrial Realty Council where he serves as Chairman of the Programs Committee and a member of the Board of Directors. He is also a member of the Wilmington Rotary Club and a committee member of the New Castle County chapter of Duck's Unlimited, a national land conservation group.

Mr. Birmingham was a key member of a grassroots organization Children of the Heroes, which delivered over 10,000 presents for the children of the fallen officers and employees of the New York Police Department, the Fire Department of New York and the NY/NJ Port Authority. Additionally, he is a former member of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) and he previously held a position on the Philadelphia/Wilmington chapter board of CORENET.
