Joel Tomlinson

Mr. Tomlinson joined Apollo in 2018 to help build and run Apollo's newly formed entity, Apollo Net Lease Capital Corporation. Mr. Tomlinson is responsible to oversee the general business plan, maintain a strong and healthy portfolio within this entity, as well as uncover new property investment opportunities. He spends his time working directly with existing tenant groups, private equity firms and other corporations in various industries to assess their real estate and capital needs. Mr. Tomlinson also works with investment banks and various real estate brokerage firms in an advisory role to assess current market conditions and provide sale-leaseback structures for their clients who are looking to turn the real estate they may own into cash that can be used for other purposes. Prior to this time, Mr. Tomlinson was the SVP of Acquisitions at Realty Income Corporation, working there from July of 2010 to April of 2018. Mr. Tomlinson originally joined Realty Income in 1999 and worked in a variety of capacities, including as an Acquisitions Director and Real Estate Portfolio Manager. He left Realty Income in 2006 to work in the corporate finance group at Merrill Lynch Capital, until Merrill Lynch Capital was sold in 2008. Mr. Tomlinson then joined Cole Capital, a non-traded real estate investment trust, in 2008 as a Senior Acquisitions Director until 2010, when he rejoined Realty Income as the Vice President and Director of Acquisitions. Mr. Tomlinson is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, and graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University with a BA in Philosophy and continued studies at UCSD with a focus on Finance.
