Bio

Joseph M. George is an Executive Director and works in Capital Markets, responsible for capital raising, loan syndications, financing lines and loan purchase opportunities at ACORE Capital. Mr. George has more than 25 years' experience in the commercial real estate finance industry and capital markets. Prior to ACORE Capital, he was a Senior Vice President who built and oversaw the distressed debt acquisition business for LBA Realty, a leading real estate investment management company which owns over 40 million square feet of office and industrial properties in the Western United States through nine funds with endowments and foundations as limited partner investors. Prior to LBA, Mr. George was a Senior Vice President and head of Countrywide's Large Loan Group, responsible for all fixed and floating rate loans greater than $50 million. Additionally, he served as the Senior Credit Officer for Countrywide's Western Region for its conduit loan program. Prior to Countrywide, Mr. George was a Vice President and regional underwriter at Wells Fargo and before that, he was a Senior Manager for Deloitte & Touche in which he oversaw capital markets transactions on behalf of D&T for its financial institution clients, which included Morgan Stanley, GMAC, UBS, GE Capital and Texas Pacific Group. Prior to Deloitte & Touche, Mr. George was a banker at Nomura's Commercial Real Estate Finance Division. Prior to Nomura, Mr. George was a Vice President at Chemical Bank. Mr. George began his professional career as an Associate at Cushman & Wakefield. Mr. George received both a B.A. and M.B.A. degree from the University of Michigan.
